Test Drive a LINCOLN MKS Dayton OH

Welcome to the new Lincoln driving standard.

With its exclusive continuously controlled damping (CCD) system, the Lincoln MKS makes use of an advanced suite of sensors that constantly monitor suspension motion, body movement, steering and braking up to 50 times per second. CCD adjusts the suspension in milliseconds, helping keep the car smoothly on track. Three ride modes are available: Comfort, Normal or Sport

Electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) is an important component in the new Lincoln ride control system. EPAS provides an easy, fluid steering feel at low speeds and a firmer, more controlled feel at higher speeds. It also constantly adapts to changing road conditions and compensates for irregularities caused by factors such as bumps and crosswinds. Also, the electric motor-driven EPAS operates only when steering assistance is required.

The available EcoBoost® V6 engine combines direct-injection technology and twin turbochargers to provide the performance of a V8 plus the fuel economy of a V6. EcoBoost generates 365 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque (with premium fuel) while delivering an EPA-estimated 17 city/25 hwy/20 combined mpg, AWD.

Available adaptive cruise control (ACC) functions just like normal cruise control, but with one exception: When the system is activated, its sensors can detect traffic slowing ahead, and your vehicle automatically slows to maintain the distance you've set. And when traffic has cleared, your vehicle resumes at the preset speed. Collision warning with brake support (included with ACC) can alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you. A "heads-up" display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield. If you don't react, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you brake. The available Rear View Camera provides a video image of the area behind your car on an 8-inch color touch screen. Color bars help you judge how far behind you objects are. The system works in conjunction with the standard Reverse Sensing System by alerting you with audio tones while you're backing up.
